DAVIDA ASTEROID
Millions of asteroids
Many of the objects we see in the sky are fast objects. Asteroids are exciting objects in the sky. A well-known area of the solar system is the asteroid belt located in the space between Mars and Jupiter. This is a huge space. Millions objects are in that space and are constantly in motion. The size of these objects is measured from grains of dust to huge objects that astronomers register and photograph. One of such great ones, who is in that belt, is David. Circling in the space between Mars and Jupiter — David is not dangerous for the Earth.
Huge Asteroid
David is larger than 99% of the asteroids in this region. The diameter of David is 270 kilometers. But there is no place for us to worry. This large object is closest to Earth — at a distance of approximately 1.59 AU. Yet it is a large space, and David is not classified as a dangerous asteroid. As it orbits the Sun — the object is 2.57 AU closest to the Sun and 3.76 AU furthest from the Sun. Let me also mention that David orbits the Sun at 5.64 of our year and has a rotation around its axis every 5.13 days.
